About

lawrence berezin, N.J. car accident lawyer

Here’s Larry

I am an experienced, dyed-in-the-polyester, plaintiff’s lawyer, who represented victims of negligent drivers, workplace accidents, and careless doctors during my 35 year legal career. I retired from the active practice of law in March 2011, but remain passionate about sharing a wealth of knowledge accumulated during my long, legal lifetime.

I can still remember the rainy day in Trenton in 1976 being sworn in to practice law by Chief Justice Hughes. My wife was with me. It has been an amazing journey.

I have been married thirty-seven years to Dava.  We are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Julie and Jordan. A terrific son-in-law, Drew,  two living cats (rescued), and the fond memory of Samson (our cat who passed away at 18 years of age), and a grand pup, Moose.

My beautiful, wonderfully intelligent, no longer brand spanking new grand-daughter, Natalie, was born on August 17, 2011. You can call her “Tali”  but please don’t call her “Nat;” or I’ll be in a heap of trouble.

I find the subject of alimony reform in New Jersey both fascinating and frustrating. It has totally captured my interest. I admire the dedicated men and women of NJAR and NJWAR, who have grown a grass-roots campaign for the elimination of permanent alimony into a voice to be reckoned with. I plan to follow their exploits closely, and share my observations with our readers. This will be the next chapter of my blog.

Life is good and getting gooder.

If you journeyed across galactic servers, through black hole blogs, to the farthest reaches of the Internet looking for compelling content, then your have landed on the right page.  This is an image of Tristan Cavadas- administrator of this blog

I have spent most of my life as an obsessive schoolaholic.  While attending college, I became a licensed NJ title insurance producer. After earning my degree, I pursued a graduate program in London, and then attended law school. During this time, I consumed vast amounts of knowledge while learning about such varied subjects as Byzantine era politics and criminal penalties for copyright infringement.

Over the last several years, I have swapped one obsession for another. I am obsessed about the law, and how the law affects each and every one of us in our daily lives.

I am passionate about:

  • Intellectual property
  • Real estate
  • Family law issues

I welcome the opportunity to serve as a guide through these topics, and writing about important legal developments, court decisions, and moderating discussions about how these subjects impact the lives of our audience.

Tristan has shared some great articles with us and has continued on his journey across galactic servers. We wish him well.
